Day 1 Arrival
Day 2 Chinggis Khaan statue complex and Gorkhi-Terelj national park
Day 3 Tsagaan Suvarga / Bayanzag
Day 4 Yolyn Am
Day 5 Khongoryn Els Sand dunes
Day 6 Khongoryn Els Sand dunes hiking, Late evening sand dune climbing for the one of the most memorable sunset in Mongolian desert.
Day 7 Drive to Uvurkhangai, Bogd Uul
Day 8 Drive to Uyanga Sum and prepare to start three days of hiking to the ” Naiman Nuur” , which is 8 lakes
Day 9 We’ll continue to the biggest lake of “Belly Eight lakes” and camp next to the lake.
Day 10 Continue trekking
Day 11 Continue trekking and arrive to “Orkhon Hurheree” waterfall/valley
Day 12 Exploring Khogno Khan Natural Reserve
Day 13 Khogno Khan Natural Reserve to Ulaanbator
Day 14 Morning Departure
Day 1. City tour & Welcome dinner
Transfer to the hotel. After hotel transfer ,we will start the city tour. The sighseeings are Gandan monastery, Sukhbaatar square, National museum, Zaisan memorial. During the tour, we’ll have barbecue lunch with wine at a restaurant. Welcome dinner will be had at a restaurant. Overnight is at the hotel. The city tour takes 8 hours.
Day 2. Drive to Chinggis Khaan statue complex and Gorkhi-Terelj national park
In the morning we will travel to Chinggis Khaan Statue complex. Chinggis Khaan Statue complex is located 60 kms from Ulaanbaatar, on the bank of the Tuul River, in a place called Tsonjin Boldog, where Genghis Khan had found a golden whip according to legend. 40 meter high statue on horseback was erected on a 10 meter high base, covered by stainless steel and surrounded by 36 columns. Those 36 columns are meant for the memorial of 36 kings intermarry from Genghis until Ligden Khaan. A recreation area, restaurants, souvenir shop and conference hall occupy the base structure. From here, visitors will ascend to the exhibition hall using an elevator at the back of the horse.Today we will start our horseback tour to the Terelj National park from nomadic family who is living in that area. Stay overnight in a Ger of nomadic family. /Lunch, Dinner/
Day 3. White stupa//Canyon on steppe/, Flaming cliffs /Bayanzag/
We travel to the canyon, which we will be entering into the South Gobi, now, one of the wonderful steppes with ancient rock paintings. This is a magnificent, colorful canyon.
During the sunset, we’ll reach out Bayanzag. Bayanzag is one of the important and beautiful attractions in gobi desert. Baynzag means rich in saxual tree. There are saxual grow up. Saxual is tree which only grow up in the desert. Bayanzag is similar to “White Stupa “, but colour of the view is more red. It’s very famous for palaeontology. In 1922 American palaeontologist Roy chapman andrews discovered this place. He founded dinosaur egg and bones.He was travelling and working from China to Europe via Mongolia .
Overnight will spend in our tent in the valley and second-night stay in Ger camp.
Day 4. Yolyn Am /Ice in desert/
Yoliin am is located in south 620km from ulaanbaatar. It’s a deep and narrow gorge in the ” gurvan saikhan”mountains. There are some ice lying on the river before naadam festival. Middle of july that ice is melted. It’s amazing valley for hiking between canyons and wonderful point for taking photography. Overnight in a ger camp.
Day 5. Travel to Khongoryn Els /Sand Dunes/
After breakfast, we’ll drive to the sand dunes. We will see the marvelous Sand dunes, some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia that stretches for an extraordinary 120km long, 20km wide and about 300m high. Enjoy the Mongolian starry night sky. Overnight will stay in a nomadic family.
Day 6. Relaxing day, enjoy the view around the sand dunes.
Today we’ll glide by a skateboard on the sand dunes. It will be fun. Also this day is a relaxing day. Khongoryn Els Sand dunes hiking, Late evening sand dune climbing for the one of the most memorable sunset in Mongolian desert. We will have dinner at the top of dunes and drinking some wine during the sunset.
Overnight will stay in a nomadic family.
Day 7. Drive to Uvurkhangai, Bogd Uul
Arts Bogd Mountain in the territory of Bogd soum of Uvurkhangai province is separated from the eastern channel of Baga Bogd and the western tip is less than 20 km from the Bogd Altai. The backdrop of the mountains is steep, steeply rocky Gobi. The peak of the Great peak is 2477 meters above sea level. We will hike around the mount. Overnight will stay in tents.
Day 8. Drive to Uyanga Sum and prepare to start three days of hiking to the ” Naiman Nuur” , which is 8 lakes. Overnight will stay in tents.
Day 9. We’ll continue to the biggest lake of “Belly Eight lakes” and camp next to the lake. Feel the wild and spend beautiful nights on the shores of the lakes. Overnight will stay in tents.
Day 10. Continue trekking.
Day 11. Continue trekking and arrive to “Orkhon Hurheree” waterfall/valley.
After a strong rain this magnificent seasonal waterfall, also called ” Orkhon Hurheree”, it’s one of the best attraction in central Mongolia . About 25m downstream from the waterfall and 22m deep. The water doesn’t run all year. And will only start to flow after the first good summer rain. Mid july and august is the best time to see it. But it’s still gorgeous and nice area for camping and horseriding. We have horsetrekking in the valley. Overnight will stay in a ger camp.
Day 12. Drive to Khogno Khan Natural Reserve
After lunch, we drive to the kharhorum city. Kharkhorum is the first capital of empire of Mongolia. The city is located 376 km far away from Ulaanbaatar. There is a first buddist monastery, centre of buddism in Mongolia is “Erdenezuu monastery “. Also very modern museum ” kharkhorum ” shows history and culture of every periods of empires of Mongolia. Kharkhorum museum is rich of archelogical findings. The city now looks like a small town. The Monastery constructed by style of Tibetian buddist monastery. The Monastery originally constructed in 1585. /434 years ago since now.
After lunch, we’ll be heading to Khogno Khan Mount. The ecosystem of Hogno Khan National Park is particularly interesting because the steppe and the taiga meet here. So, we can find a fauna and a flora that are characteristic of these two ecosystems, and also some wonderful landscapes, with the granite formations of Khögno Khan. Created in 1997 as a natural reserve, it became in 2003 a natural park, that is to say an area protected by the State for its educative, historical, cultural or environmental value. Overnight will stay in a ger camp.
Day 13. Khogno Khan Natural Reserve to Ulaanbator
Overnight will stay at a 4-star hotel. We’ll have a farewell dinner at a live concert.
